TRADE RULES
I copy DAO on Fujifilm, Memorex & TDK discs primarily. I'll accept most all brands in return, but please stick with decent quality media. The only brands I really don't like are the plain silver type (not all plain silver are bad, the cheap crap bulk) and those Comp-USA discs.
All the info I have on a recording is on this website. If a setlist or artwork isn't listed - I don't have it. You are welcome to request further information on a recording of course, but if you send me a list of 20 things to check out (or ask to choose the "best one" from 20) - I can almost guarantee I'll never get around to it. Be reasonable. The best way for response on a particular show would be to use the website to request info, that way I have a nice ordered list of shows to detail.
The brutal truth - some of these discs I haven't gotten around to listening to yet. Some I wont ever. It is very possible that I have some discs that are very poor quality or bad recordings. I will do my best to check out these shows before sending. I copy using EAC then Nero, so you can be assured of a perfect copy of what I have. If the show ends up being garbage - hopefully I've discovered it on my end first, but I'm willing to replace it within reason. If you're a total quality nut and freak-out when things aren't perfect, don't trade.
Please do not write on discs that you send me except on the safe plastic ring around the center of the CD or perhaps a non-intrusive mark to distinguish between multiple CD shows. Instead include a paper with whatever info you have on the show - band/date/location/venue. If you have further info, I'd appreciate it as well - I can easily receive all this information as email, just as long as I have some way of figuring out what disc is which when I get it!.
Also, please do not attach stickers to the disc - sticky notes are fine for the most part, but I've had them peel off the metallic coating of a disc before. Use at your own risk, I've occasionally used sticky notes on the shows I send - but I'm willing to replace the (1/10000) CDs they damage.
Ask me if you're willing to do "upgrade trades". I have a number of shows I'd like to copy onto better or different media. If you'd like to trade for one of these - I'll give you 2 for 1 trade value. You will receive my current copies, most likely already written on and I'll retain the copies for myself. I don't have a list of all the shows I'm planning on working on, but feel free to ask after we negotiate a trade.
